KEMPSHOT OLD STUDENT ASSOCIATION (KOSA) KOSA CONSTITUTION PREAMBLE We, the alumni of Kempshot School, hereby establish this constitution to govern our association, promote unity, and foster the interests of our members. We, the Kosarians, unite to advance the legacy of our alma mater and contribute to the development of our community. ARTICLE I: NAME AND OBJECTIVES 1. Name: The name of the association shall be Kempshot Old Student Association (KOSA), with members affectionately referred to as Kosarians. 2. Objectives: - To unite Kosarians globally. - To promote the interests of Kempshot School. - To provide a platform for networking, mentorship, and support. - To contribute to the development of our alma mater and community. 3. Symbols and Emblems Symbol: Emblem: The Pledge: I, a members of Kempshot Old Student Association, I pledge to uphold the values of Kempshot Old Students Association, To stand as a beacon of excellence, in all that I do. I vow to cherish the bonds of friendship, forged in our alma mater's halls, And to strive for the betterment, of our community and all. As a Kosarian, I promise to hold high, the torch of our noble heritage, And to shine as a shining example, of the best that Kempshot has to offer." Slogan: "The slogan of KOSA shall be..." One Kosarian, One Family, One Legacy ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP 1. Eligibility: Membership shall be open to all past students of Kempshot School. 2. Categories: - Full Member: Past students who have attended Kempshot School. - Associate Member: Individuals who have contributed significantly to the school or association. 3. Membership Fee: Members shall pay annual dues as determined by the executive committee. 4. Members' Welfare 1. Purpose: KOSA shall prioritize the welfare and well-being of its members, providing support and resources to enhance their personal and professional lives. 2. Support Mechanisms: KOSA shall establish mechanisms to support members' welfare, including: 1. Mentorship programs: Pairing members with experienced mentors for guidance and support. 2. Career development: Providing resources and opportunities for professional growth and development. 3. Health and wellness: Promoting health and wellness initiatives, such as access to healthcare services or wellness programs. 4. Financial assistance: Providing financial assistance or access to financial resources for members in need. 4. Member Benefits KOSA members shall be entitled to benefits, including: 1. Networking opportunities: Access to networking events, conferences, and other opportunities to connect with fellow members and industry professionals. 2. Professional development: Opportunities for training, workshops, and conferences to enhance members' skills and knowledge. 3. Community support: Access to support networks, mentorship, and peer groups. 4. Welfare Committee: KOSA shall establish a Welfare Committee to oversee the implementation of members' welfare initiatives and provide support to members in need. This article provides a framework for KOSA to prioritize members' welfare and provide support mechanisms to enhance their lives. 5. Batch Groupings To foster connections and facilitate mentorship, KOSA members shall be grouped into the following categories based on their graduation year: 1. Pioneers (2004-2008) This group includes the first few batches that paved the way for KOSA. They likely have significant life experience and can offer valuable mentorship. 2. Foundational Years (2009-2013) This group built upon the foundation laid by the pioneers. They may have established careers and are likely taking on leadership roles. 3. Growth Phase (2014-2018) This group is likely in their mid-to-late careers, with a strong foundation in their respective fields. They may be taking on more significant responsibilities and mentoring younger batches. 4. New Generation (2019-2023 and later) This group is likely in the early stages of their careers, with a strong focus on building their professional networks and gaining experience. These groupings shall be used to facilitate networking, mentorship, and community-building activities within KOSA. ARTICLE III: GOVERNANCE 1. Executive Committee: The association shall have an executive committee comprising: - President

Election: Members of the executive committee shall be elected through a democratic process. ARTICLE IV: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. President: - Provides leadership and oversees the association's activities. - Presides over meetings and events. 2. Vice President: - Assists the President and assumes duties in their absence. - Oversees specific projects or initiatives. 3. Secretary: - Maintains records and correspondence. - Prepares meeting minutes and agendas. 4. Treasurer: - Manages the association's finances. - Prepares financial reports. ARTICLE V: MEETINGS AND EVENTS 1. Annual General Meeting (AGM): The association shall hold an AGM annually to: - Review activities and progress. - Elect new executive members. - Discuss important matters. 2.
