Coaches' Condition of Service Policy
Purpose
This policy aims to ensure that Kempshot Sports Academy's coaches are motivated to perform to the highest standards, while maintaining the integrity of the sport.
Scope
This policy applies to all coaches employed by Kempshot Sports Academy.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
1. Team Performance: Coaches will be evaluated based on the team's performance in matches, including but not limited to:
- Win-loss record
- Goal difference
- League standings
2. Player Development: Coaches will be evaluated based on the development of players, including but not limited to:
- Improvement in player skills and technique
- Increase in player confidence and game awareness
- Progression of players to higher levels of competition
3. Tactical and Strategic Planning: Coaches will be evaluated based on their ability to develop and implement effective tactics and strategies.
Performance-Based Incentives
1. Bonuses: Coaches may be eligible for bonuses based on team performance, player development, and other KPIs.
2. Professional Development Opportunities: Coaches who meet or exceed performance expectations may be eligible
for professional development opportunities, such as coaching certifications or mentorship programs.
Match Fixing Prevention
1. Zero-Tolerance Policy: Kempshot Sports Academy has a zero-tolerance policy towards match fixing.
2. Consequences of Match Fixing: Coaches found guilty of match fixing will face disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
- Termination of contract
- Ban from coaching
- Reporting to relevant authorities
Contractual Obligations
1. Contract Duration: Coaches will be employed for a specified contract duration, subject to satisfactory performance.
2. Termination Clauses: The academy reserves the right to terminate contracts in cases of poor performance, match
fixing, or other breaches of contract.
Monitoring and Evaluation
1. Regular Evaluations: Coaches will undergo regular evaluations to assess their performance and progress.
2. Performance Reviews: Coaches will participate in performance reviews to discuss their performance, goals, and areas for improvement.
Code of Conduct
1. Professionalism: Coaches are expected to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
2. Integrity: Coaches are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, including but not limited to, refraining from match fixing.
Disciplinary Action
1. Disciplinary Procedure: The academy will follow a fair and transparent disciplinary procedure in cases of poor performance, match fixing, or other breaches of contract.
2. Sanctions: Coaches found guilty of misconduct may face sanctions, including but not limited to:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Suspension
- Termination of contract
By structuring coaches' conditions of service in this way, Kempshot Sports Academy can incentivize coaches to perform to the highest standards while maintaining the integrity of the sport.
