1. Coaching Program: Our coaching programme is closely integrated with your child’s education and welfare as that is paramount in building an effective coaching program and a future for the children. Coaching /Contact hours will be according to the level/stage of the player. The age group will determine the coaching contact time your ward will receive each week, and the number of coaching sessions available will increase as your ward progress along the performance pathway.
At the Foundation Stage: Players shall have an average of 3 coaching hours per week rising to 5 hours for older players
Youth Development Stage: Players shall have an average of 6 coaching hours per week rising to 12 hours for older players
Professional Development Stage: Player shall have an average of 14 coaching hours per week reducing to 12 hours for players who have commitment to the professional squad during the professional development phase
2. Games Programme Our games are so structured taking into consideration safety across all the level/phases
Foundation Stage: (U9 – U11)
Game for our foundation level are played locally, usually on Sundays, and may include regular festivals that involves 4 or more clubs/academies.
The focus in this stage is fun and developing mastery of the ball
Games are played on age-appropriate pitch, with small sided match game for each age.
50% of match playing time is appropriate in any one season
Youth Development Stage: (U12 – U16)
Youth development stage games are usually played at weekend and may include regular festival throughout season
Subject to fitness in the U12 to U14 age group, you will participate in at least 50% of match playing time reasonably spread out in any one season.
Subject to fitness in the U15 and U16 age group, you will play in at least 20 authorised games per season, and participate in at least in 50% of the game time.
The focus in the stage is on building technical skills, game understanding and tactical awareness. Academy players may be introduced to tournament football from U12 – U16
Professional Development Stage: (U17 – U21)
This stage aims to prepares you for professional life in the clubs first team.
U18 League games take place on Saturdays
FESTIVALS, TOURS AND TOURNAMENTS You may have the chance to be involved in additional festivals, tours and tournaments, both domestically and abroad, some of which may be residential. These opportunities are designed to enhance your playing experience and help your technical and personal development. Your Club will provide you with specific details about these events.
3. Education Programme The Player education is important; therefore, our education programme is designed encompassing the three-basis academy system approach, namely Full-time, Part-time and the Hybrid system to help players achieve a productive and fulfilling career, both on and off the field. Liaising with your child teacher to make sure your child football commitment does not damage his level of progress in school.
Ensure that Your child education programme is formal and nationally accredited to achieve academic potentials
Offer advice on all aspects of the education programme
Foundation Phase: U9 to U11 Under this foundation phase, which fall between the ages of Under 9 and 11 years, your ward would attend regular academic school full time at Kempshot Grammar Academy, and be present at the sports academy activities in the evening after school, at weekends and during holidays. Youth Development Phase: U12 to U16 Under this phase, the following approach is possible.
Part-time:
All Player-student would attend school full time at Kempshot Grammar Academy, and attend the Academy activities in the evening, at weekends and during holidays
The Sports Academy shall monitor your ward academic education progress.
Full-time:
With this approach, we shall offer your child a full-time place with the sports academy depending on the progress. By full-time, it means living away from home in the academy boarding home if he so desires, but at a cost of feeding excluding the cost for football training, development and school fees. Your child will receive both sports and educational programmes through the academy
Your child may be offered a Scholarship to pursue Senior High School education with Kempshot Business College.
A full educational review and progress shall be conducted and recorded every twelve weeks, and copy sent to the parents.
Hybrid:
Depending on the age, your ward may be released from school to attend the Academy to cover for the weekly timetable with the academy.
The sports Academy shall agree an arrangement with you, and your child’s school to ensure that the child’s academic education is not affected.
Camping: Depending on the age, occasionally camping may be required at a cost, especially during a recognised approved organised
Professional Development Phase: U17 – U21 At this level in our academy, we take you through the rudiment of being a profession player, through enough exposure, trials both local and outside. Lobby scout to assess and recommend you for higher opportunities. We may include you into our football club to gain much match experience. In compensation for playing in our club we may offer you an educational apprenticeship programme at our professional and T-Vet Department to pursue Educational Apprenticeship programme alongside your sports interest.
In the first two years of this stage, Academy players must take an education component as part of their scholarship.
A full educational review will take place every 12 weeks and will be recorded.
Although not compulsory, there may be education opportunities available to you after you turn 18 to continue your education, such as degree level study.
Academy players are expected to complete their education programme even if they sign a professional contract before the apprenticeship has run its course.
Starting from the beginning of you under 16, Your club may offer you a professional contract to commence from the age of 17 at any time. Continue
